Yesterday Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits filed a motion to dismiss a class action lawsuit filed by a California retailer that accuses it of fraud, unfair competition and other alcohol law violations. This is the latest volley between the distributor and retailer, following the retailer's amended complaint. SGWS says the claims are "broad and eye-catching, but ultimately vacuous," per court documents. Read more
