Happy Frascati Friday! It’s the end of the week, which means it’s time to kick back, relax, and enjoy a glass of Fontana Candida Frascati!
Make that time relaxing in your chair productive by planning your next meal — how about a delicious dish of Peppered Pork and Cabbage, a slow-cooker recipe that is “Cinfully Simple“? And yes, the dish is a perfect match for Frascati, so you may want to whip this together a week from now. Ain’t nothing better than coming home to the scrumptious smell of slow-cooked meal.
Another great (and easy) recipe we saw this week is Roasted Beet Salad with Goat Cheese, a colorful and flavorful summer dish from Food n’ Focus that pairs well with Centine Rose (or any pink wine, for that matter). Get fresh beets at the farmer’s market this weekend and enjoy it as part of “meatless Monday.”
Finally, for dessert, go ahead and spoil yourself — it’s the weekend, after all. Frascati is a little too dry to drink with most postprandial plates (go ahead and google “postprandial” and you’re welcome for enriching your word power), but Rosa Regale goes with most sweets — and chocolate in particular. Hat tip to Kathryne Bosco for sharing the decadent pairing below on Instagram. Talk about “things that make you go MMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!”
That’s it for this week. If you have any recipes or perfect wine and food pairings to share, please post them in the comments below or email them to us.
