Having sold off Orin Swift Cellars to E&J Gallo last month, wine legend Dave Phinney, has revealed he also sold majority interest in his Splinter Group Spirits to Vintage Wine Estates. You may recall, Splinter Group owns the Straight Edge bourbon and Slaughter House American whiskey, and told WSD in 2014 they had plans for a gin and vodka in place. Read more
